On Monday April 28, Canadians re-elected the Liberals as a minority government. Alberta Construction Association congratulates Prime Minister Mark Carney for the win.
Congratulations to all Members of Parliament who were elected from Alberta. We look forward to working with them to continue our strong relationship with our Federal partners.
If anything was learned in this election is that there is a strong desire to build resource corridors to bring our products to market and decrease our dependence on US trade. We hope to see the new government focus on this major project while Canadian support coast to coast is strong and united.
During the election, the Canadian Construction Association launched Construction for Canadians, a campaign which ACA and our partners across the country supported. The goal of this campaign was to emphasize the importance of construction to building the strong Canada that Canadians deserve.
