Supplementary Conditions to CCDC Contracts

To address unique aspects of Alberta’s Prompt Payment and Construction Lien Act, Supplementary Conditions are required to modify and align standard CCDC contracts with the legislation. These Supplementary Conditions – published by the ACA as a service to the design and construction industry – are intended for use on all projects to which the legislation applies.

Form C Sup 1

Certificate of Substantial Performance of Prime Contract Used by Prime Contractor to verify work is substantially complete and holdback monies withheld under the contract are to be released in accordance with timing stipulated by the Builders’ Lien Act. Work continues towards total completion.
