Industry Leaders

On June 24, the ACA was honoured to host a productive roundtable discussion with the Honourable Martin Long, Minister of Infrastructure, alongside senior officials from Alberta Infrastructure and key leaders from Alberta’s construction industry. 

The roundtable provided an opportunity for open dialogue on several critical issues facing the construction sector. Topics included the current state of the industry, the need to better balance risk in public contracts and procurement processes, and ways to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry, general contractors, and trade contractors. 

Participants welcomed the Minister’s willingness to engage directly with industry leaders and appreciated the candid exchange of ideas. ACA members reaffirmed their commitment to working with the Ministry to address shared challenges and to support the delivery of vital infrastructure projects across the province.
