Every year, ACA reviews provincial and federal budgets through a construction lens, looking beyond headlines to what capital plans, tax measures, and workforce programs really mean for Alberta’s builders. Our Budget Reviews highlight opportunities, flag risks, and support informed conversations between government, industry, and local construction associations.
Alberta Budget Reviews
The 2025 Alberta Budget arrives at a critical time for workforce supply, productivity, and capital planning in the province. Building on ongoing advocacy from ACA and our LCAs, this budget includes measures that respond to long-standing industry asks, including the reintroduction of a program similar to the previous Jobs Grant to help employers invest in training and up-skilling.
ACA is encouraged by new and continued investments that:
- Support Workforce Productivity
- Strengthen Infrastructure Delivery
- Align with Industry Needs
At the same time, ACA will continue to monitor implementation details, identify gaps, and work with government and partners to ensure Budget 2025 translates into real, on-the-ground benefits for contractors, trades, and communities across Alberta.
