ACA July 2025 Newsletter

This month’s newsletter covers the new Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant, as well as how it relates to training new hires. As well, we also discuss our informative roundtable discussion with Minister of Infrastructure Martin Long that was held in June.

July was a month filled with productive discussions and updates to what the ACA has been doing to further advance our mission to ensure unification, collaboration, and sustainable growth for Alberta’s Construction Sector. Some highlights of our work featured in the newsletter this month:

  • The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG) was designed to cover up to 75% of eligible costs with a cap of $10,000 for an individual. This allows employers to access up to $100,000 in funding annually. This stands to benefit construction companies of all sizes.
  • Our Chair, Jen Hancock was named by Site News as one of their “Most Influential People”.
  • The ACA held a successful roundtable discussion with Minister of Infrastructure Martin Long, as well as other senior officials from Alberta Infrastructure and key leaders from the construction industry. During this, the ACA reaffirmed our commitment to working with the Infrastructure ministry to address shared challenges and support the delivery of essential projects across Alberta.

We discussed it all in more detail in our full newsletter, available below:
