ACA Hosts 2nd Annual MLA Reception

Last night, October 28, was the ACA’s 2nd Annual MLA reception. Members of the ACA including our Chair, Jen Hancock, along with partners and industry leaders sat down with Members of the Legislative Assembly to discuss the issues that matter most to the Alberta construction industry. It was a night of meaningful conversations, collaboration, and understanding amongst key actors in the construction sector who all emphasize the importance of construction to our province.

As a non-partisan organization that represents not only 8 Local Construction Associations (LCA’s), but also the collective voice of Alberta’s non-residential construction industry, the ACA values every opportunity to engage directly with MLA’s. The ACA was very pleased to hear from the Minister of Infrastructure Martin Long and Official Opposition Leader Naheed Nenshi at our event.

The ACA would like extend our gratitude and thanks to all the MLA’s who joined us, along with our event sponsors, Chandos Construction, PCL Construction, and BFL Canada for their support and leadership.

The ACA would not be complete without our local construction association partners from across Alberta, whose collaboration is essential to amplifying the collective provincial voice of the construction industry.

These conversations are critical to ensuring provincial policies and programs consistently support the construction industry, which builds our Province’s communities, institutions, and economy.
